Julie Davidson opened the Komadre Kombucha Taproom on 6th Ave in May 2021. Her mission was to establish a welcoming and safe community space for all ages, sober, sober-curious and health seekers.
Komadre sells kombucha tea and snacks, cafe beverages and a curated collection of goods made by women and BIPOC local creators.
When we asked Julie what she loves most about what she does she said "I love the interaction with customers and my neighbors along with the Ave. They are all so committed and supportive."
Julie's favorite thing on her menu is the Pineapple Ginger kombucha with a kick of ginger beer added. Her customers keep coming back for the Key Lime sugar cookies and growler refills.
What most people don't know about Komadre Kombucha is they host a university internship for business students. Julie is an Alumna of University of Puget Sound so this internship is very important to her.
